Whats a modification insurance wise?
Im just thinking about when i renew my car insurance,and though you all would know the answers,to my questions.. as im thinking of having a few more bits done,and not sure whats going to be classed as a modification..
 Whats classed has a modification? Thanks in advance trace x

its a good question though, at what point do small styling changes to the car make any difference?
e.g. having side skirts colour coded, de-tangoed headlights etc. Wouldn't have thought an insurance company would care about little things like that?

Some will but keith micheals done worry about it , Gary even said when the 2.5 is finally done there wont be any extra charge , just need to tell them what I've done .
Best bit is that all the mods declared are covered and will be accounted for if something was to happen

I would assume that a "modification" (with regards to advising your insurer) would relate to anything that has been removed and replaced with something different. Not sure if body work, skirts etc would count? I used to be insured with Tesco's but my car out grew what they could insure, so I phoned Gary M. My insurance form included a 2inch x 2 inch box, to list "Modifications" !!  It's virtually a full race machine with the appearance of a regular car now. Shame the car is not transparent as many of the parts look so nice but nothing is seen.
