How long will it last - good question....
The Loeb/Citroen dominance killed the sport imo, but 9 drivers titles in a row is a staggering achievement. In my view, the best driver that has ever lived (in any motorsport discipline). To be so far ahead of everyone else (including teammates in the same car) without making mistakes is something very unique.
But such dominance didn't look good for rivals. Before Loeb, the last driver to win the WRC was Solberg in the Subaru (2003). Since then, Subaru left.... Mitsubishi left..... Peugeot left..... Suzuki left... Skoda left..... only Ford stayed to challenge Citroen.
Its looking interesting now, with VW in the sport now. Hyundai will join the lineup for next year too

So maybe things are looking up
Ogier won the title this year with a new team - a very impressive achievement. But he's another Sebastien (what is it with this name!?). Lets hope he doesn't go on a run of championships like Leob did!
