Having spotted the Bluebells making an early appearance this year, I paid a visit to a Bluebell Wood I discovered near Groombridge. They need at least another week to "get there" really, but it gave me a chance to try a different approach to the standard shot.

I walked around the outside of the wood trying to create "windows" of bluebells using a shallow depth of field to throw foreground and background out of focus.

The first one is pretty close to what I was trying to achieve, the rest are just some other pics from the day.
