with no cooling airflow (as when your stationary or in slow movin traffic) then that temp is as expected IMO, personally think its more to do with you not having your long and also can vary greatly as to which gauge and where its takena reading from???

also never come across the oil you mention so not sure what sort of quality/characteristics it has??
