I've been impressed with ebay of late.

Bought a turbo for our zafira as a spare a few months ago as it was really cheap. Got it home, and the fins fell out the turbo, the manifold was cracked as was the penny washer near the wastgate cracked, basically totally fecked. The advert on reflection was a clear attempt to sell a knackered unit but not described as such. The seller was no use, but went through ebay and got a full refund.

Also Bought an apexi ECU and handcontroller a month ago, got it and never worked, again on reflection is was a clear attempt by the seller to pass off a dodgy unit. It was water logged and fried. But again took it up with ebay and again got a full refund.

Lots of dodgy sellers out there trying to flog broken goods. But I have found ebay to be very fair and can generally see through every scam going. In both my cases second accounts were set up, and ebay was able to confirm my findings by checking postal addresses and I think IP addresses of the accounts... It does take a little time, but generally I have found to be pretty good at sorting out these disshonest feckers.!

I'm sure you will get it sorted Dave, just means you might have some money tied up for a while until EBAY sorts it out.!
