Why I came across like that is because my ScoobyNet thread went from a few photos and a brief comment on what I wanted to achieve, to being a friggen Coronation St and with the project entitled "Project P1 600+" all were expecting just that.
109,000 hits, 118 pages, 3500+ replies & about 4.8 million pm's later later it's still running at about 500.
There are many Scoobz now running 440 - 470 and I now realise why. Many start modifying and find that they come up to big barriers at around the 470. On my experience when you get to 400 the money diverts away from the motor (for a while

and needs to be spent on set up, transmission & stopping.
Then back to your engine for more power. When you get a proper 500+ it's VERY quick, much quicker than one imagines in a 1190Klg car. At 400 everyone use to say "wow". Now all I get greeted with is "fukc that"
