Well I uninstalled IE 8 as recommended by my local computer shop and am now on IE7. That did not sort the problem though as my usual path to IE still came up with add-ons disabled!!
However, they suggested START - RUN - type iexplore in the box - click OKAY and then access websites. Hey presto I can now watch videos!!!! When i am feeling brave enough I will try installing a different browser!!!!
