The easiest way, is to copy the CD to an external USB disk drive / or a large enough USB dongle.

If you've not got use of one of the above. Then you can network both the Laptop and Acer together via the router conenction, wired or wireless (depends on your Sky router, not sure what you get with Sky) and share the optical driver on the Laptop.

Both PC's should be able to see each other in the Network Neighbourhood (so long as they're the same workgroup) and if the optical drive is shared, then you should be able to see it when exploring from the Acer.

Another option would be to get hold of an Ethernet Crossover cable, this will allow you to conenct the computer directly without the need for a router/switch.
