I'm running Newage WRX rear disks which still run the classic sized 170mm drum. So no messing with handbrake shoes or sleeved drums.
The handbrake works as if OE with no issues of shoe expansion and poor handbrake performance which the oversized shoe material can suffer.

My solution requires a touch of backing plate grinding and a slightly different rear bracket dimension, but all the details are in my thread linked above.
Ignore the fact that the WRX disk is smaller than the STi as the Brembo braking performance on the lightweight classic far outperforms the same setup on the heavier Newage.
