As long as air is going in through the scoop heat blanket /shield wont make any odds, only if you crawl in traffic for 15mins then hoof it off the lights straight away would it be an issue, but this would be an issue with a blanket/shield aswell.
They cool down in seconds once moving (like 3 or4 secs above 20mph and they are icy cold again. you can see this running a temp probe in your IC/throttle body pipe work
