Ok Chaps, another tyre question.
After an argument with a pot hole I need to put at least a pair of tyres on the Civic. I'm asking a lot and I know it will be a compromise but they need to be able to cope with all weathers and used daily on a 100 mile round trip from Hastings to Crawley and back. I go across country on a mixture of A and B roads, a lot of which are poorly maintained. The diesel lump is torquey and will spin the wheels quite happily so they need to grip well in the wet but not be so soft that I've shredded them in a few months, will also need to stop me when I'm playing chicken with the Deer in Ashdown Forest.
Tyres are 225/45/17, Speed rating Y and load index of 91 although thinking of going for 94 if people think the stronger side walls might cope with the pot holes better.
Currently considering the Dunlop
SP Sport Maxx RT as there is a good deal on Black Circles at the moment, trying to avoid Mail Order as there is no one around to receive them at home and I can't have them delivered to work any more.
