2.2 closed deck is circa 1k for the block halves alone, and most will build a 2.35 out of that ££££££
A v7/8 bottom end with STI 3/4 heads is a good strong engine and might make 500hp Dono if I would call that a "safe" 500 though on standard internals, in particular the rods, though there are folks out there running 500 on standard JDM 2.0 lumps, not sure how long it might last (flip a coin?)
