It's a question that doesn't seem to be answered on TV. A lot of talk about the gains and losses for the Scottish people with the Yes/No vote but not a lot of talk about the gains/losses to England if Scotland become independent (but a lot of TV coverage in England !!!!!).

Just Alex Salmond trying to make a name for himself IMHO.

There's been quite a lot about it mate including a programme dedicated to it. Main points they were making that I can remember (prob on iplayer still):

- nuclear sub base will need to move and no where to put it in the rest of UK that would conform to all the safety and security rules...nuclear weapons are the main reason why this tiny set of countries has such a standing in the world and best of buds with the US. We'd lose all that if we lose our weapons.
If the union broke up the the likes of Brasil and India will demand they should take our place on the world stage.
Wales and NI would probably follow with a referendum
Although Scotland get per capita more spent on them they also earn (via oil) more than us so would mean we'd be worse off.
Years and years of negotiations as we have to divide up army, navy, airforce, UKs debts etc
Oh yea and a flag change 😁
