There's a German Cemetery there as well, very dark and surrounded by huge oak trees and just 3 bronze German soldiers with their head bowed looking over it, as you say, very different to the Commonwealth Cemeteries.
Also worth a trip is the old V2 launch site just outside of Saint Omer, you can do this in a day if you take the tunnel.
