if its the plastic std v3/v4 tube style then they do have a boost limit and will start to be pushed open at higher levels (around 1.4/1.5BAR IME) if its in the std orientation......
a common "cheat' we used on the older grpN cars (and very similarly equipped EVO's) is to turn the valve around so its piped backwards and then we have run them at near 2BAR with no issue (the boost now pushes the valve closed)
