Sorry for late response, A few years back now I had an almost brand new vf48 on my old STi v4 wagon.
It was a very nice turbo, made 333bhp/312lb/ft on the standard injectors at 1.40 bar (2.0 standard engine) with 2.5" exhaust and a FMIC there was more to be had from the turbo but my tired old 86k miles engine didn't want to give it, some larger injectors might have helped a bit, they where pegged with an FPR giving an extra bar of pressure.
A harvey smith up-pipe helped alot with spool, 1bar was made at 2850rpm If memory serves.
It went very well the turbo was far more linear the vf24 that it replaced.
