Ah ok, that starts to make a bit more sense. I'm sure you know the potential pitfalls of TPF&T so won't go into any of that. I don't know what the value of the car is, but I believe some insurers will not give a TPF&T quote where the value of the car is above a certain threshold (used to be about £5k).

They insured me aged 22, fully comp on a group 17 vehicle without requiring and history of 'performance' car ownership. Ok, it was a Civic Type R and not an Impreza, but they insured me when no one else wanted to know. Like you, I had to pay a high price, but with retrospect it was worth it.
