It does sound like it's running on the primed fuel then stalling.
Try cranking it with the coil disconnected to pump through the primed fuel then try again without re-priming ie don't turn ignition off. See if it starts and stalls in the same manner

Success spoke to ollie at rcm and he reckons it was the pump and it was running on the primed fuel like you said so i bit the bullet and brought a new rcm pump
so i took out the pump assembly today and there was a split in the fuel hose which was causing the lack of fuel, I did fit the new rcm pump any way and it fired straight up
so i now have a spare working walbro if anyone wants one
