It's strange as that was the cleanest piston too!, there's no marks or wear anywhere inside the block so going to get it cleaned up and do just that
Had a look on some other forums and it seems its quite a common problem with stock pistons in the more recent ej25 blocks so at least its not a one off occurrence and does go some way in explaining the extra oil consumption I was having!
