Thank you all for your comments. Perhaps I'm a bit naive as its my first one but I'm happier knowing exactly where I stand with bits like that. Ott probably but I'll only worry, especially until I know a lot more about these cars.

Learnt a few things about the car, it wasn't a warped disc, it was the caliper that was loose. Luckyily for me, it didn't come off, although by all accounts it wasn't far off. The bolts where stuck in and had threaded so had to be drilled out as two snapped in the caliper. All sorted now though.

Going back for a full service in three weeks and having front brake hoses replaced as they are perishing. Very happy with the level of service, couldn't ask for more from them. It's had water/meth mix and an induction kit on it at some point also. The later will be going on again soon I think Other than that it's all good which is reassuring to know.
