I think the bottom link adds some very important points, especially about the fact that people like google already have all of our information anyway, they won't be gaining anything more.
An interesting point is made about google searches, though 2 people might type in the same words, the search will be tailored to your preferences. Clever or scary?
There will be many more "informed" replies than mine (not that mine is any kind of answer to your question) so I am looking forward to hearing what some others think about this.
In essence it doesn't worry me too much.
