Had very similar setup on my 2.5 classic when I first got it back in the day. Was getting almost same result on a VF22 and that was on 380cc.injectors at the time maxed to the the max.
It had the pull of a turbo diesal but with even more power... Probably should have stopped there at the time, because even at that stage it made for a very nice road car, and within limits of drivetrain.
