how did that happen?

GB270Adam 12-12-2012 08:56 PM

Some stupid cow slid into it on the slightest of bends because she basiclly wasn't driving to the conditions around her, the track marks leading to my car were long enough so god knows what she was trying to do to stop herself.

BIG"E" 12-12-2012 10:14 PM

Oh dear thats not good.

Banstead Stig 12-12-2012 10:28 PM

Not surprised you aren't happy. Dappy bint!

That will be an irritating amount of money to fix too, looking at the various bits to be sorted.

Such a shame to see.

Bolesroor 13-12-2012 12:05 AM

Ouch! Hope you get it sorted without too much hassle :ok:

Steve_PPP 13-12-2012 03:25 AM

Ouch :(

Like Bansteag Stig says, that'll be a fairly big claim for bonnet, bumper, grill, and thats assuming nothings damaged underneath. Hope you got all her details and she admitted liability!

ScoobyStu 13-12-2012 10:43 AM

Wouldn't be happy either mate, not good at all. Hopefully it's straight forward enough to sort out.

GB270Adam 13-12-2012 12:05 PM

Cheers guys, she pretty much has to admit to it as my car was parked up away from the drop kerb of my girlfriends house so its not as it I'd parked in a stupid place, she just quite clearly doesn't know how to drive.

I haven't even looked under the bonet don't think I can bring myself to but if the slam panel isn't bent I will be amazed! Pretty sure the whole of the front end will be coming off, had to drive it back from Horsham but seemed to drive fine so don't think she's bent anything mechanical wise (fingers crossed anyway)

bonner 13-12-2012 01:18 PM

Nasty that hope u gave her some gyp!! my mate had his drove into by a coach down drivers side and matey pulled him up n coach driver wouldnt have it! he said prove it!!

GB270 J 14-12-2012 10:08 AM

Some people are so numb at driving, it always comes to a time that you have to trust other peoples driving skills, shame as seemed a tidy motor when i saw it the other week hope you get it fixed soon:-|

GB270Adam 14-12-2012 02:09 PM

Took the car to the repair centre today for the bloke to take his photo's and get the ball rolling with the claim, the guy said it won't be till after Christmas till they take car!:splat:

tbtstt 14-12-2012 04:47 PM

That is gutting: at least you caught the responsible party though, would have been worse to have found it and have no idea who did it.

Fingers crossed you get it sorted as quickly and painlessly as possible.

GB270Adam 23-12-2012 06:48 PM

Got this as a courtsey car, not to shabby if I do say so!

Only trouble is now I've had it for a few days I'm really liking it, bit out of my price range though.

GB270 J 23-12-2012 07:38 PM

:santawave:Yeah nice cars mate until the back flyes out on a roundabout, when u nail it. My wife used to have a 335d and found it a bit unerving and tail happy in wet slippery conditions, But still good fun. Hope u get your car back soon and have a Happy Christmas

Hongkongfooi 23-12-2012 07:50 PM

That's oe nice courtesy car, normally some ****ty punto or something:-D

GB270Adam 23-12-2012 08:46 PM

I think its the insurers version of a 'like for like' car, will be costing the other womans insurance a pretty penny .

As much as I don't like diesel's or auto's this is a very nice change from the norm.

According to the garage the parts should be with them Thursday and they should be starting it the same day, so hopefully should have the GB back very early in the new year (so long as they do a good job) otherwise its :fight: if they don't.

Hope everyone has a great Christmas, very much looking forward to getting to more meets next year.

Steve_PPP 23-12-2012 09:40 PM

Really like that shape of 3 series coupe, cracking courtesy car. :)

GB270Adam 08-01-2013 02:05 PM

Well tomorrow is D-day, even though it was meant to be Monday and then today, fingers crossed they've done a good job.
