clutch pedal

hopefully others have had this problem and its not just me !

the clutch pedal seems sticky so to speack on my 1994 classic it comes up half way when releasing the pedal and some times takes a extra second or 2 to come all the way up ?
:x

there's adjustment on the pedal in the footwell aparently, sounds like that needs to be adjusted.
Had a similar thing on my last classic except it just wouldnt come up fully following spirited driving unless I hooked my foot under it and lifted. I was told it probably needed adjusting but never got round to it before my engine let go and I got rid of the car

you can also get issues if the clutch fluid is old and over-heated, slave cylinder is sticky or the return spring missing.........

or the clutch is simply on its way out!

i had this issue recently on my 95 wrx i adjusted the rod on the back of the pedal and hey presto (BUT DO NOT OVER ADJUST LIKE I DID AS CLUTCH WONT FULLY ENGAGE AND SLIPS) i readjusted leaving a very small amount of free play in the pedal ;) there is a 12mm nut locking the rod in place loosen it then swist the rod in/out to adjust , check biting point and free play and once happy tighten 12mm nut back up tight
