Apexi Induction - Save yourself £100 (MY97-00)

Always one to look at saving a few pennies with DIY mods.
So, done a bit of research a while ago into the Apexi Induction Kit.
I had seen good results on the cars I had mapped, so thought it about time I tried one myself.

I didn't fancy paying £150 for one of these, suitable for Impreza 1997-2000 :

When for £45 you can get one of these :

£3.49 for 1M or steel from B&Q a bit of bashing and save yourself £100.

Sweeeeeet..... Damn your engine bay is looking very bling/clean these days.

Better stop mucking/maxing out those 440's now though, bite the bullet and get some 550's in there. Always willing to help if you need it. I'm an expert at filling up my bores with petrol now.

Cheers for comments guy's

Well today used a bit of the spare ally and spent 1/2 hour doing a bit of ally bashing'n'bending.
Realised I must have a bit of Blacksmith in me.....

Ended up with a lid for the Cold Air Box...a bit rough at mo' and still has protective plastic on it.
But I figure a trim, grind, sand and polish and it should be just the job.

Might have to call on Wayne555 and use his expert polishing skill.
Has anyone got his contact detailed as I have only ever PM'd him on Sussex....and seem to of lost his mobile number.....
