What do you know about the Hawkeye STI Tracker

Managed to find out it's a MetaSAT GPA800, that apparently I can Txt to get a status and it will txt me if it goes for a drive.

Got no idea how to register this as now mine though.

Google came up with this on Scabbynet

Yeh, read that earlier.
Think I need to give Subaru UK a bell.

I found the MetaSAT instructions in amongst the paperwork with my car. Called the 'helpline' and all they would tell me is to contact my local Subaru dealer.

Apparently you need to fill in some transfer form which they then pass on to MetaSAT which changes the tracker over to your name. At present there is a yearly fee of 200 Euros for the tracker service.

Well went to Subaru yesterday and they filled in the form with V5 as evidence of ownership.
Subaru then emailed it off to head office.
Got email today with login info for Metasat, and it looks like I'm one of the lucky ones with the early Metasat system that does not require top up.

Status of system is 'open', since Jan 2007.

And apparently my car is in my garage, ignition off, outside temp is 12 DegC and it's not moving....will just go check.......yep it's still there.

So looks to be working.

Can also set it in valet mode from mobile aswell as receive alerts when stolen or exceeds a set speed limit.

Can also immobilise via txt....how cool is that....FOR FREE...happy days ;!....

I'm with Trackstar too mate, I have done a 5 year payment and saved a few quid.

They are quite good though, I had a trauma starting the scooby a couple of years ago down in Cornwall, they were on the phone within minutes to see what was going on :ok:
