More ebay useless sellers

My dad bought some alloys & off road tyres for his Frontera.

Managed to win them for £100. Worth over £500 new just for the tyres.

6 days later, he got this message on ebay due to seller cancelling the sale...

audiv6tdi recently opened a case to cancel a transaction for an item you recently purchased: ALLOY WHEELS 31/10.5/15 NEARLY NEW TYRES.http://q.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/s.gifReason for request to cancel the transaction: The seller did not provide a specific reason.

Seller comment: hi im sorry to say but when returnig home from a fundrel in spain the wheels have gone missing out of my garden , sorry about this , if i get them back i will get in touch with you , sorry again tony

Some people's excuses are getting really bad. If he didn't want them to let them go so cheap, he should have put a reserve on them :wa:

I had the same with some STI lights for the wagon. He gave the money back and said the had been damaged,I told him to send me photos as i would have them anyway. After a few more emails he told me he had been offered more money for them but I could have them for the price I payed £50(bargin)
So it might be worth opening a case against them. You may not get the wheels but you can screw up his feedback

typical ebayers!!!! people just think things will sell for fortunes and don't bother with a reserve!!!!

Worked out to be a blessing.

Got a set of bigger wheels & better tyres all in better condition for £50 more.

Will get pics up when they arrive & have been fitted

Defo. The bloke selling the new ones is throwing in a set of locking wheel nuts and all the original nuts too

AndyWRX 13-03-2011 03:48 PM

Gonne be a beast :-) still thinking of spraying it?

No

keeping the LWB for road use & buying a SWB one for off-roading.

Will see what the new one is like bodywise when we get it
