DBA 4000 Brake Discs
Just doing a bit of advanced research, so I thought I would consult the folks of the forum for advice. http://www.surreyscoobies.co.uk/foru...icon_smile.gif
I'm sure at some point in the future I will need to replace my brake discs and I just wondered if anyone on here has run DBA discs? I've read a few favourable reviews on Scabbynet and the like, running DBA 4000 discs with Ferodo DS2500 pads. I changed to the DS2500 pads last year and really like them, so I thought the DBA discs might be a good option when the time comes. Anyone have any experience with them or know of anyone who has an opinion on them? Cheers all! |
These are still single piece items I think? I used to run DBA 5500 which were 2 piece with the alloy bells with OE 4 pots, combined with Pagid Blues they were IMO the best 4 pot setup.
One of the trackmasters guys ran 4000s on his blob pcec C, did trackdays and ringtrips and rated them highly. HTH |
What calipers do you have and what do you use the car for?

I've read some good reviews on the DBA discs when used with the Ferodo pads, so I thought I'd make further enquiries! |
Also consider BrakeTech Discs. Can do 10% OFF these at the moment and include a set of Kevlar Fast Road pads (normally £59.99). Very good discs.

Give me a call for a chat and advice: http://www.superhids.co.uk/skins/bas...tec-logo-3.gif |
Cheers for the info! Will keep that in mind!

You're most welcome :ok:

your right Justin the 4000 is the 1pce and 5000 the 2pce options
DBA discs (like a few other higher end/cost options) offer a higher cast iron content casting than the more regular offerings you get........... this combined with a decent friction level pad makes for a very impressive "std style" set-up.... we rarely stock DBA these days but can source easily if required, as we tend to sell the more regular stock holdings of OEM, "budget" grooved, Brembo Sport and Performance friction disc offerings alyn |
Thanks Alyn! I've found a handful of places that keep stock of the DBA range (though thats good to know you can get hold of them), it was more feedback on them discs themselves that I was after.
Great to see that you rate them as a product, thanks for the feedback! |
