Time to change a few things on my WRX

Time to start tidying up the car. Interior almost sorted.
Centre Console tidied up and holes filled in. Blanking plate going where the ashtray is missing. HKS Turbo timer going there. Stepper motor Boost Gauge to fit. The correct Lockwood white dial kit now fitted.
Thinking of changing rear spoiler for a lower one- how easy to change I can see some nuts in the boot lid.

Will sort out more pics once clean again and will post in appropriate section.

No keep the spoiler.

chris wrx 08-02-2011 10:26 PM

I agree , low level spoilers dont look as good

Nige 08-02-2011 10:27 PM

Fill the holes in & go spoiler less. It suits the classic.:drive:

Chunk 09-02-2011 11:22 AM

Clear indicators & side repeaters would look good

worzel 09-02-2011 12:08 PM

De tango! Why would anyone want to do that??!!

Oh........ you mean it's just me! .......... :getmecoat:

Kei Man 09-02-2011 12:16 PM

Good man....... it makes US the "elite" ones.

Unlike all those common de-tangoed jobbies!

Chunk 09-02-2011 12:22 PM

When i de-tango'd my old white Merc 190. I put pics of it on a Merc forum. Apparently de-tangoing is the worst thing you can do. All hell broke loose and i got banned from the forum.

I de-tango all my cars now

 The Merc owners club fear change!

I still can't decide on de-tangoing mine. I do prefer it, then I don't, then I do... :D

:agreed:

Every now and then I think I ought to get it done. But that thought soon goes. I don't mind the look of it at all.

Funnily enough I actually think you should do yours! It may just be me, but once a blobeye has the V-Ltd splitter I think it has to have a de-tango.

I've been planning to pick a splitter up for mine for ages, so I will have to put my theory to the test when I fit it!

My trouble is, it has almost become a battle of wills! Everyone was doing it about a 2 years back, I was being beligerant (which is unlike me of course  ) and said, "I don't want to just follow the pack" blah blah blah!

I have even had plenty of offers to come and do for me, but "no...... not for me!"

This thread though is putting that thought firmly in my mind. It's whether I can resist again or not!

 Yeah, I know what you mean! I was determined to keep my car standard looking - which of course means staying tangoed.

The V-Ltd splitters have really grown on me though, but of course all the cars that have them fitted as standard are de-tangoed, so if I fit one to mine I'm going to end up caving in!

I was debating getting a second set of detangoed lights - but then I saw how much the light assemblies are!

Last time I looked it was well over a grand for the JDM HID upgrade from Japan Parts!

Does the JDM HID setup require a rewire? Despite the fact that I hate being blinded by cars with HID lights driving the other way, it would be nice to have some headlights that actually provide some light - sometimes I'm not even sure if my headlights are on!

worzel 10-02-2011 01:46 PM

Not for that sort of money!

Crikey.

The oven is looking not so bad now

I bet. I have to drive up the unlit lanes from work to get to the main road and I have to take it very easy as my candles - sorry, "headlights" - only seem to show up the potholes at the last second...

...then I join the main road and its like they aren't even turned on!

Its more of a tempting proposition if they just plug in and work. Will have to keep my eyes peeled on Scabbynet for a JDM blob getting broken.

worzel 10-02-2011 02:34 PM

Now theres a thought.....

............JDM Blob getting broken........ Saj @ JPP

Thats got happy days written all over it! :norty:
