Think it will look nice mate, especially with a morrette headlight conversion 8-)

AndyWRX 20-11-2010 12:43 PM

not really my cup of tea mate but as long as you like it :ok:

scoobaru 20-11-2010 12:51 PM

It is a bit marite!!! Im still in two minds to fit it!
I bought it cheap from someone one Snet so wanted to see it up close and on the car!

I think once its painted Shouldnt be too bad!! I have got the skirts and back spoiler too.

Lucky 20-11-2010 02:13 PM

Once its painted I dont think it will be marmite. It seems to fit nicely and I think will blend in well.

scoobaru 20-11-2010 03:23 PM

Out of all the very few kits, grills etc... for the bug iwith this seemed to be the only one that i could find that gave it a bit more presence and subtlety at the same time.

Admittitly im not one for kits but i thought why not?

Steve_PPP 20-11-2010 03:31 PM

i think on its own it would look daft, but if you bought the whole kit then it should look ok once colour coded.

but its an aggressive looking stance, so i agree that the headlights need sorting (morettes would be best) as the standard ones just looks a bit nancy ;)

scoobaru 20-11-2010 05:31 PM

100% agree steve about the headlights. Didnt want to go for morrettes.

Wanted to go for either uk 300/prodrive or sti headlights and an sti grill from HT autos? Also the bug ducts instead of the spots which (rich) dukeboy has!!

Thats kinda what i had in mind!! :-P

Then if i pluck up enough courage....... the DC camo wrap:acid:

p.s i do have the rest of the kit

SpecB 21-11-2010 07:03 AM

Painted and possibly blended it will look spot on I think especially with the skirts etc. to pull the rest of the car down.

How's the new MAF working out?

Mortster 21-11-2010 09:16 AM

The photos of the white bug on the site are awesome, so once its painted up, i recon it would look good.

admin 21-11-2010 09:22 AM

Difficult to judge from the pic with the white really standing out against the blue.

When its painted I think it will look a lot better than it does in the pics, agree with Andy WRX that perhaps painting the centre black or cutting out for front mount would look even better:ok:

Reason i went for it!! Makes the front a bit more fuller!!

Agreed about the front regarding the front mount! Not looking for power to warrent the FMIC so the paint option is a goodun;-)

worzel 22-11-2010 09:27 AM

As you say, will look better when it's painted.

I reckon it will look pretty good

MAF is good mate, thanks just waiting for the 2nd for the mapping, Keeps throwing up faults all over place at mo:cry:, so not able to drive around too much, if at all.

Have you decided what you want to do with the spoiler yet?

scoobycoops 23-11-2010 07:07 PM

I don't like the Colour but it's all good

SpecB 24-11-2010 06:49 AM

I'm about ready to swap the boot over, I only need the lid, not the spoiler though so you can keep the WRX one and sell that on separately if you like (I got £50 for mine I think).

I'll pm you with an offer.
