There is of course an alternative get rid of the tanks and get a scoob.:nod::doubleup:

WRX_Paul 14-10-2010 12:02 PM

I will be stuck somewhere this year then, only 2wd, but i will be warm as the Golf has heated seats!!

Anger 14-10-2010 01:14 PM

I dont use the scoob in the winter... Looks like rear wheel drive drifting in the van for me :)

Chunk 14-10-2010 02:13 PM

When i finally got the Kompressor out the car park last winter, i did have some fun on the snow & ice in rwd

Looking forward to it again

How can you not take the scoobs out in the snow!!! Its good fun, this year im putting the standard wheels on though, surprising how much grip the car has in the snow, even with crap tyres....

Steve_PPP 14-10-2010 02:51 PM

i'll be using the scoob if we get snow, the Pug estate weighs about 2 tonnes and with fwd will struggle on the hills!

like Tyler, i'll put the old alloys back on though!

worzel 14-10-2010 03:36 PM

I might leave the 888's on for a laugh! :norty:

Jolly Green Monster 14-10-2010 06:48 PM

You read the warning sticker?

They can exlode under zero deg :)

worzel 14-10-2010 06:51 PM

Probably very wise mate.

If there is only a couple of inches, I'll take the scoob out, more than that and I won't be tempted this year.

I'll do what everyone else did if it's bad again.......

.........      :hurrah:

Steve_PPP 14-10-2010 10:41 PM

Yep, agree with that Steve. I was out in the scoob last year in 6-8 inches up in Ashdown Forest and nearly got stuck a fair few times - and thats on standard suspension.

Now its been dropped a bit i think anything more than 2-3 inches and i'll be taking the day off work :D

AndyWRX 15-10-2010 03:45 PM

Hopefully ill be able to get out and about this year, couldnt even get out the drive with the 200, even when it started to melt i struggled to get out the road lol

666subaru 15-10-2010 06:42 PM

Got to look after the new wheels so be playing safe this year...........................................may be:norty:

lamb 16-10-2010 10:56 AM

Im certainly looking forward to the snow again, this was the first car that i have had that took last years snow with ease & it was fun...unfortunately no more excuses not getting to work :drive:

tbtstt 16-10-2010 12:03 PM

I didn't even get out of my road last year. Some of my neighbours attempted to go to work, got stuck half way up the road (which is an incline) then, when they ran out of traction, left their cars there and thus blocked the road for everyone else. :wa:

mikey2 16-10-2010 01:04 PM

I had a play early last year, was good fun, looking forward to having a play again!!

My car is off the road as of the end of this month due to no tax.:drive:

Moley_WRX 16-10-2010 06:07 PM

I hate driving in the snow.

Too many 4x4's driving at normal speed, big accident waiting to happen.
