FMIC started today

Well decided it was about time i made a start on my FMIC.
Removed head lights,5 of the 8 bolts sheared off,Great

Removed bumper and cut out area ready for FMIC.

Bumper and front splitter are going to body shop to be painted

Lots to do, but time is not an issue.

I will post pics as i go along.

Re: FMIC started today

I am toying with going for facelift bumper and P1 splitter.
Hunted ebay, scoobynet, piston heads, not a single facelift bumper worth buying.

Re: FMIC started today

IMHO facelift bumper looks wrong unless you get the bonnet, lights and grill to go with it.
It just seems to stick out to far where it joins the grill/headlights.

Oh for sure mate, i will either do the lot or nothing.
To be honest,i am doing the FMIC for looks more than anything, its already going to cost a fair bit,FMIC,New induction kit,Proper hose clips( Bloomin Expensive)Bumper respray, front splitter respray,Loads of replacement clips etc, So if i add bonnet, headlights, vents, grill etc its going to be a load of dosh.

Anyone want to buy a Vers 4/5 top mount I/C with samco hose and bailey dump valve?

Thanks mate,
I am rather fortunate as my brother was a panel beater for many years, and is rather good at all that stuff.
I am following a guide i found on scoobynet, here is a link, what you guys think.

http://bbs.scoobynet.com/projects-40/58 ... oject.html

I tell you what did suprise me was how heavy the intercooler is compared to the top mount, i know its bigger but its well heavy.
