Moley's New Car

Picked up my new car this evening.......

2003 STI Type UK PPP (with a few extra goodies)

Very impressed so far

Will get some pics later this week.... bit dark at the moment!!!

Justin 20-07-2010 11:05 PM

Nice one

OK I'll start. Whats the insurance like on one of those ? :D

Moley_WRX 20-07-2010 11:08 PM

Lol, suprisingly cheap!!!

Steve_PPP 20-07-2010 11:19 PM

nice :ok:

i was looking at the same model last year - but never took the plunge. And now i've got too attached to the bug, i'm not sure i could bring myself to make the upgrade to the STI!

what are the extra goodies then?

Crowman 20-07-2010 11:21 PM

Nice one mate, look forward to seeing some more pics. Does this mean the coil overs can be had sooner?

Moley_WRX 20-07-2010 11:33 PM

New new one has BC coilovers, 18" alloys, and a different backbox.

Am starting to strip mine this weekend, but the big parts can't come off untill 14th Aug unfortunately

Skullfudge 21-07-2010 12:11 AM

Saw the car in the flesh for the first time today.

It's a really tidy one. I'm sure it wont stay standard for long

Got a bargain there

worzel 25-07-2010 11:32 AM

I'm sure once Moley gets going on it, it'll be something pretty special. :ok:

Skullfudge 25-07-2010 11:36 AM

Any thoughts on the new one Gary ??

Comparing to the classic ?

Chunk 25-07-2010 12:36 PM

I still love his classic. I gave it a 'light drive' yesterday

Can't believe it's going to be broken

New one looks lovely

Is feels a lot more comfy and modern, but to drive it isn't a patch on the classic. The newage certainly feels heavier.

The new one is going to GRD for a more aggressive alignment on Tuesday, and will put some Whiteline goodies on it soon, which should help.

Moley_WRX 25-07-2010 06:50 PM

Slowly starting to get there.

Have fitted a splitter, sprayed the mesh black, removed the mudflaps, changed the numberplates, cleaned the engine bay (thanks to Chunk and Andywrx) and given it a wash.

Goes into the bodyshop in two weeks to have the front bumper sprayed, and a general tidyup.

Starting to look better......

worzel 26-07-2010 08:40 AM

Just putting the splitter on makes such a massive difference

Chunk 26-07-2010 08:59 AM

Looks a lot better

Offer is still there if you want to swap it for both my Mercs

Crowman 26-07-2010 09:00 AM
