SES Aug 1st - Goodwood Breakfast Club / Sunday Pub meet
 

To kick of what’s hoped to be quarterly SES Pub Meets, SES will be arranging a Pub Meet at the Far South West of the region to coincide with the Goodwood Breakfast Club Meet on Sunday 1st August.

The meet is 'Free' for all to attend an commences at 0800 at the Goodwood Race Circuit.

Meeting points can be arranged so that SES members can convoy into the event.

A Pub Meet will then follow, commencing at approx 11:30/12:00.
This will be in the vicinity of GoodWood and likely to be either :

The Old Stables at Fontwell (A27): http://www.vintageinn.co.uk/theoldst...ntwell/findus/

OR

The Anchor Bleu in Bosham (South of Chichester) http://www.bosham.org/anchor/
Parking at Anchor Bleu is suggested in the nearby car park (which may be pay and display). Parking is available in the road or opposite, but the road it tidal and high tide is scheduled for 14:47......so it could be a bit tight, and you may need wellies.

As I type this, the Pub venue is TBC, but hope to formalise next week.

For those that just want to pop in for a pint, and fancy a cheaper option/snack elsewhere you have the choice of :

With the numbers above I am tempted to wing it for the Anchor Bleu as this a much better location/vantage point, if a little small for large numbers.

This is my Birthday weekend and I have got a very boozy BBQ that I am going to on the Saturday night. :beer: :chug: :tequila:

Apologies for not being on line regular this week but been away on hols and just drove back from Devon this morning.

I think due to the (semi-small) numbers we will wing it as far as pub grub goes.
I am keen to have a looksie at the Anchour Blue, so if we head there for 11:30 (opening time) and see what it's like.

We can then stay for a swift half or if everybody is happy to stay, we can enjoy a meal there. If not we can move on the the Old Stables as this is a much larger venue.

It was a great morning, just what a Sunday morning should be!. Sorry I couldn't get to the pub, would love to have, but family duties called! Had an interesting drive back tho as hooked up with an 05 STI and a nice Black classic, so a convoy each way!, oh and sorry to the chap trying to impress his girlfriend in the focus RS, I guess you just need a few extra ponies :wave:

really good morning at Goodwood, some lovely motors there and it was nice to get a spot on the track for once.

as said, great choice for a pub - although good thing we got there as it opened as it certainly was popular! excellent food, and no scoobys were drowned in the rising tide as we sat and ate either :)

It was great to meet some of you on the day. The cars looked fantastic lined up on the pitlane straight. It was my first breakfast club so wasn't sure whether the Subaru would get in and hadn't seen that you were going along. I'll know for next time!!
