Absolutely gutted :-(

Was involved in an RTA on saturday on the M1, luckily all the kids are ok if a bit upset at the time. Both steve (sandman) and I have neck and back pain from the impact, and I got carted on in an ambulance on a spinal board much to the further distress of my kids! Bloody white van man wasn't paying attention to stationary traffic in the contraflow (he was clutching his phone when i got out the car :wife:)

Hoping and praying it's fixable

BIG"E" 01-06-2010 06:03 PM

So glad you're all OK.

666subaru 01-06-2010 07:51 PM

As said on Southernjapclub buddy, not good, but glad you were both ok

Mr Wagon 01-06-2010 10:59 PM

Glad the kids are fine, cars can always be fixed.

Does worry me sometimes about strapping the kids in the back, as the Scoob is so light weight you so wonder if it will survive in a prang.

Hope everything works out for the best and you quickly overcome your injuries.

RobEvo5 02-06-2010 09:49 AM

Glad your all OK. Looks a simple repair, new bumper and fix or new tailgate and job done. Must be an insurance nightmare to sort out though.

SUBARMAN 02-06-2010 01:46 PM

Good luck - glad you are all okay.

Lochness 02-06-2010 10:21 PM

Thanks everyone, feeling better....well, until the hire car was delivered this afternoon lol.....Megane diesel

Just wish they'd hurry up as still waiting for the third party insurers to get in touch

Spooky 03-06-2010 09:10 AM

Sorry to hear the bad news :( what a to$$er in the van! I wish you a swift recovery and hope everything is settled without too much stress...

AndyWRX 03-06-2010 04:06 PM

glad your all ok could of been alot worse, hopefully the car will be ok too, whats happend to the white van driver, if he was on his phone i imagine the police would want a word

Tyler 03-06-2010 04:35 PM

Glad your all ok.. Shame about the Scoobs, fingers crossed for ya..

Sandman 09-06-2010 10:12 PM

well, confirmed today, the wagon has been written off, and is sitting on the driveway .... dunno what to do next really...the insurance company are paying out £1350, and we get to keep the bashed one...anyone know of any half decent WRX wagons going for that price, must be "M" plate or newer ??? lol

:deadhorse:

Lochness 09-06-2010 11:37 PM

Still suffering with neck, back pain and headaches, but physio being sorted now. As Steve said, we've had the vehicle assesor out today and he's written it off  not really sure what to do next tbh....was a lovely car for it's age but now has a dented boot lid, bumper, bent slam panel and crumpled floor pan!

Would love to know what has happened to white van winker man, and hope the Audis occupants are ok too but not heard anything, other than the endless phone calls asking for various details from us, forms to fill in and statements to the police......blah blah blah

Dave Beck 10-06-2010 08:59 AM

Glad you and the family are ok, thats the main thing

AndyWRX 10-06-2010 02:29 PM

Glad you guys are ok, shame about the wagon though, if you break the current scooby you could put the money towards the new one

Sandman 12-06-2010 10:53 AM

ok, the old WRX, we really need it gone,
A/ its upsetting Ness just sitting there,
B/ we need the space
C/ we need the cash to put towards the next wagon
In going to Get some pics up later of the damage.
All this car needs is someone with access to a body shop and some know how...which i dont have, or have the time to do...Or for someone to break it, once again we dont have the time or the space.
The hire car will be going back soon, and we need to get the new one before that/ or as that one goes. Its hard to get the Kids to school without a car.
we just need someone to come and make us an offer for it. I will be posting an ad in the for sale section as well, so please look at that once i have posted it (a bit later)

Nick 12-06-2010 04:14 PM

Just waiting on the cheque now, then it's all systems go...and got my lovely hubby on the hunt for some parts......rear bumper, tailgate, drivers side light cluster and a bumper bar, so if you know of any please let us know!!!

Nice to feel like the candle has been relit at the end of the tunnel :D

Chris 16-06-2010 08:04 AM

Glad your ok - what category write off have the insurance company issued on the car - im asking this as your current insurer may have issues with insuring written off car, i also believe it will need to be vosa checked after the repair.

Chunk 16-06-2010 08:25 AM

Glad it can be repaired
