well i noticed its been using alot of water/coolant also spitting it out the overflow pipe but just the other day it started smoking, not so much when i drive it jus when standing and if revved while standing so im thinking head gasket?? or anyone have any other ideas?? and if it is the head gasket anyone know roughly how much it will cost me or would it be better just buying a second hand engine? or even a new car lol. thanks

The head gaskets will cost you around £700 fitted as it is an engine out job

Water out overflow on boost is head gasket and why on a number of hard use cars you will see the overflow lengthened and at pass side of screen so you can monitor head gaskets.

well to be honest £700 is a bit of a relief as i thought it was going to be around £1500. do you know of any local garrages that do them on scoobies?
