30,000 and still good.
 

I have just clocked my 30,000th (trouble free) mile since RCM built it.

Not bad when considering the following:-

Power produced (Bhp per Cylinder)

Example: Audi R8 4.2 develops 51.7 Bhp per Cylinder

My P1 Project thread on SN included a few comments from guys regarding the costs throughout the P1 build, and that it was money being thrown into the wind.

Other than one "component failure" (Map Sensor) the P1 has not missed a beat. I am not saying the P1 will never break as that would be stupid when running 38 Bhp short of 600.
I can now say to the same guys with the clever comments, you don't sound so fookin clever now, do you.

Its a credit to you/RCM and any others involved in the build, particularly as the car is used properly and not sat in a garage and taken out for the odd 30 mph drive. Those figures are awesome mate - well done.:doubleup:

30,000 miles with that performance is fantastic. Olly & his team certainly know what there doing when it comes to nut's & bolts. The car alway's look's fresh Clive when i see it well done mate :drive:

Have they suggested a strip down mileage or to just keep going?

I asked RCM about that not long ago actually Simon and they said "no need, just enjoy it" , so I am lol

Yep they certainly know there stuff at RCM.

I had 4 options for Project 2 and nearly had 5 when Matt said he could build me a Classic that would run mid 8's all day long. He is like his old man. Apparently Roger Clark was leaps & bounds ahead of everyone else in the "technical dept" and Matt is made of the same stuff. Prodrive probably employ 1 in every 200 hopefuls when it come down to engine designing & he worked for them for 8 yrs. Roger & Matt then started RCM in the 90's which means that Matt must of near on been a school leaver when he joined Prodrive.
That is how good MC is.

Last time on track was 500bhp and not wide arched, not been on track at 604bhp yet, trying to quieten exhaust enough at minute

Goes to show how good RCM are

It's a great car and you look after it really well.

That P1 and its driver Clive are a massive credit to the Scooby community as a whole, I would say.
