Conrod weight

Just putting my conrods on the crank and thought i would weigh them as i see spooks do it and i have noticed that 2 of them are weighing at 0.516kg and the other 2 are 0.517kg do they need to go in on a certain destination or do i have dodgie scales.... They are Manley h beams...

I wouldn't worry about it, more likely the 1 gram minimum significant figure with the scales, they could be 516.499g and 516.500g, your scales would read 516 and 517.

Conversely one could be 515.5001g and the other 517.499, again your scales would read 516 and 517

I can't imagine why there would be any intention to have rods of different weights because of the potnetial in balance on the crank. you can buy sets of weight matched rods so they are all the same.

I wouldn't worry about it bud.
