Cracked windscreen
Emma's windscreen cracked on her type R last week.
Phoned Autoglass via a call to Moley.... a 10 day wait to have a new screen fitted Was told by the woman at Autoglass that the car was safe to drive. Now the crack has gone from a small 6 inch one to well over a foot long. So, taken the car off the road till the new screen goes in Advice for anyone with a small crack or stone chips they want done. Dont wait, as there is a huge wait now |
Well, according to "Gavin From Autoglass" in those bloody annoying adverts, they will "come straight out to you and repair the problem before it turns into a crack!"
Lying cnuts! |
give 1st call windscreens a call ask for david or james i used to work for them there really good and quick and will come to you mate!
|
They had to order the screen as jap ones are a different colour tint to uk ones, but that only took 2 days to get in
Good job I can give drive Emma around, as she would have to hire a car for 10 days. Just hope the snow stays away untill the screen is done. Both due monday  |
looks like itll be a race to see what one comes first, hope the windscreen people get their arses into gear and come and do it first thing
|
They said they will be out between 8:30 AM & 4 PM
|
UPDATE.
Was due to bew fitted today, but AutoGlass have been on the phone this morning. The new screen is damaged. They have ordered a new one, and have rebooked for wednesday morning. the crack is getting bigger, but they say its still safe to drive |
That means they were always going to come wednesday:nod:
|
I dont mind the extra wait as long as they replace it before anything happens
