Robs cars from recent times.

Was trawaling through my photobucket account, and thought I would share just a few cars I've owned in recent years. Many, many more prior to these including cosworths, 964, and BMW's, and some very boring and plain cars inbetween as stop gaps as well.

A little scary when I think this little lot are all fairly recent ones. Must calm down a bit. :D

I knew it would be a long list

That is one hell of a list of cars mate.

So....... the million dollar question.... Which one was your fave!

worzel 12-01-2010 10:03 AM

No pics showing mate

BIG"E" 12-01-2010 10:11 AM

Thats a lot cars.

Where is a your car lot??:lol:

RobEvo5 12-01-2010 10:52 AM

pics now working :D

As for which was best.... Well they are all very good cars in there own particular right.

Whilst I was well into my fords at the time, they are just now old rusty out of date cars IMO, so don't have the love for fords that allot still seem to have. With cossies fetching top money still.

Scoobs still have a place in my heart, but only disslike about them is the stigmatism that comes with them, and get a little tired of all the chavs on my bumper. But pound for pound scoobs just can't be beat, and recent snow has reafirmed this.

The 2.5 Classic and the STI8 were the best of the bunch. Hence serious consideration is being given to a hawekeye STI at the moment.

Steve_PPP 12-01-2010 12:08 PM

quite a list! i'm 28 and only on my 3rd car! (seem to keep them for 3-4 years)

Chunk 12-01-2010 12:37 PM

Quite a collection you have had

lady-turbo-wrx 12-01-2010 12:45 PM

What a cracking selection

Scott.T 12-01-2010 12:57 PM

LOL...thats only 1/4 of em'.
Everyone of them (apart from maybe the Laguna) where the best thing since sliced bread according to Rob....for at least 24 hours....or until the fuel light came on (whichever came first).

Funny enough...it was when I was driving the VX220 Turbo that the fuel light came on (cracking little car, if you can get in it).
It was only at that point that I gave him the key's back...the condition must be contageous.

RobEvo5 12-01-2010 04:45 PM

Oi! I'll have you know I have filed up my current wagon at least 3 times now. ;)

But your probably right, that list is probably just 1/4 of them. Post Ford days, I have had about 4 or 5 MR2's, about 4 or 5 E36 M3's. Countless Scoobs, and lots of fairly plain stuff in between that little list above.

Ironically its always the cheapest motors I tend to hang onto the longest. And had my wagon since November now, and its not even for sale.......

Yet...

Question is if you had a budget of 1K- 30K and you had a history of cars as above and ideally wanted something that the complete family can get into at times, 3 kids, what should I get ?. I like a quick car, but it doesn't need to be balistic quick these days, I'm 38 coming up 39, and Director of a company so I should grow up a little and get something decent and all round nice, and something I can take to business meets.

Tried the 2 car thing and it don't work for me...

Newer Shape Audi RS4 ?, BMW335 ?, or perhaps a Hawkeye STI for less at around 15K. Or just be done with it and get a brand new car which is something I have yet to try (what was that car James May test drove ?. Loved that)

Dont regret any of them. All been great cars, and variety is the spice of life. The missus is just glad I don't change my women as much as I do cars :D.

Just remebered the car on Top Gear I liked Vauxhall insignia VXR. Must get up close and personally to one if I can find one in a local showroom.

If your gonnagofor one of barge's would be better to look at the Monaro or the Supercharged Ford Falcon.

RobEvo5 12-01-2010 08:55 PM

Looked a small to medium car hence the appeal and not to lary but still agressive and 4wd.

Found a few more motors i've owned; lol

An insignia is 'NOT' small to 'medium'...it's 'Huge'.
They have a Blue VXRin the showroom at the moment.
It's the replacement for the Vectra and as with every new car replacement they get bigger every time.

urabusMY94 13-01-2010 10:26 AM

Anybody else noticed the consistently bad parking!

worzel 13-01-2010 10:32 AM
