Insurance claim advice
 

Hi,earlier this week someone slid into the of my van whilst I was stationary.Her insurance ascessor has been to have a look and says cost of repairs would be more than value of van,but they may be able to make repairs using some s/hand parts.Do I have to accept this or can I insist that they repair as was using new parts,Thanks.

Would have thought it would have been an assessor from your insurance company!

The other insurance company would obviously like to keep costs down, so perhaps are trying to reduce the claim with the suggestion of using second hand parts.

Would think the best people to ask would be your own insurance company.
