Finally bought my new car

Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor Sport

She is a bit of a beast. AMG did their bit on the car, but Brabus have had their hands on this one, they fitted their ECU and tuned it :norty:

Bonus bit with this one.... The £3900 Nappa electric leathers

Chunk 02-01-2010 05:54 PM

2.3-16 Cosworth engine, AMG supercharger, tuned by brabus. Running approx 280bhp

Est 170 mph
0-60 Late 7's

Got so many toys on it, it weighs more than 600kg more than my old scoob

Not bad for under £2000 :-o

Nice mate, masses of torque i bet.
Best engine in a merc, loved the 190 cossie.

Chunk 02-01-2010 06:04 PM

It's the same basic engine as the 190E cosssie, but AMG made a few changes to it for the Kompressor.

I'm not complaining :norty:

DukeBoy 02-01-2010 08:52 PM

Your scoob is slower than my Merc

Chunky.....chunky...........chunky.

You sir are a lesbian.

No mate that looks a beast. Well put together lump those too. Bet she goes on some jungle juice etc.

What size super charger they run?

Also how good do them seats wipe down? May need to borrow it for my dogging sessions as my seats stain and the car is too loud.

And hopefully not too many women who fit into both categories ;)

Chunk 13-02-2010 02:31 PM

Thanks to AndyWRX for Spraying my temporary grill

Bought a grill and sprayed it black to make sure it looks good on my C230. As mine is Ltd edition, i really didnt want to spray the grill & not like it...

think it looks good so going to do my rare one in black

http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k5...e_Chunk/pb.jpg

Fitted my new mats today too

Chunk 18-02-2010 09:16 AM

Can't decide if to debadge the Merc or not

What do you all think?

With

http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k5...hunk/nonon.jpg

Without

http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k5...unk/media1.jpg

Steve_PPP 18-02-2010 01:02 PM

without for me, looks much more sleek

SpecB 18-02-2010 01:10 PM

Suppose it depends if they're stuck on or not - looks great without but if it means a boot respray is it worth it?

Dirty Dogg 18-02-2010 03:48 PM

Debadge it mate

Chunk 18-02-2010 04:37 PM

They are easy to remove, just the black 3M tape type stuff, but boot does need a spray anyway as there is the usual rust and a scatch

SpecB 18-02-2010 05:01 PM

In which case out with the hairdrier!

666subaru 18-02-2010 06:24 PM

Off they come and as Nick said, when Emmas not looking, steal the hairdryer:razz::angst:

Moley_WRX 18-02-2010 09:24 PM

De-badge

Chunk 03-03-2010 08:47 AM

Got the Kompressor grill in black now on the car.... thanks AndyWRX

Booked into Mercedes in Redhill for poly-v belts to be replaced on friday

Now 2 of my tyres are down to 1.1mm, i have had to order the new ones. Gone for 4 of these.....

Chunk 16-04-2010 09:04 AM

UPDATE!!!

Got bored of how the engine bay looks. So when i had a few spare minutes (with help from Andy) we set about my engine.

I will get shot by Mercedes enthusiasts for hiding the red, it's like de-spoilering a scoob and getting rid of the burble.

From this....

http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k5...e_Chunk/17.jpg

To this.....

http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k5...e_Chunk/07.jpg

Now it all needs a clean & something to make the black shine

Had my new tyres on about a month now, still sideways all the time.... it's brilliant

K&N air filter fitted
Uprated spark plugs ready to go in

Next up are window tints and an AMG exhaust

AndyWRX 16-04-2010 06:09 PM

looks good mate very stealthy, think the window tints will set it off nicely

Chunk 15-12-2010 06:15 PM

Bit of an update

After a recent trip to Mercedes-Benz of Redhill, finally found out a few of the mods

AMG HPS Generation 1 supercharger
Kleemann reduced size supercharger clutch
Bosch High flow fuel pump

Got a pile of panels to fit to her to get rid of the rust spots inc, door, boot, front wing
Set of AMG pedals to fit

On the lookout for some Samco to tart the engine bay up a bit

Chunk 15-12-2010 06:21 PM

Replaced the brake pads that looked nearly new. They were Halford quality, so fitted genuine Mercedes ones. Stops a hell of a lot better now

Even used it as a wedding car in the summer....

http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k5...C230K/18-1.jpg

Moley_WRX 15-12-2010 08:15 PM

Needs the rear windows tinted. Go up and see Mark and Chris @ Road Radio

Chunk 15-12-2010 08:51 PM

You could treat me to them for Christmas

Errrr..... no!!!!

scoobycoops 16-12-2010 07:38 PM

Wow! Clearly, it's good at the top. Good work.

Chunk 28-02-2011 03:39 PM

Had a little play with the car while i've been off work

New wipers, very highly recommended by Moley

Tracked down the seller on ebay that Gary used... Mr Wiper.

£6.95 for 2 wipers, even though my car has a single wiper

http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k5...FlatWipers.jpg

Now tipping down outside so can give them a test

Chunk 28-02-2011 03:40 PM

Also finally got round to carbon wrapping the trims on the doors...

http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k5...llarCarbon.jpg

AndyWRX 01-03-2011 04:35 PM

Looks good mate :-)
