SES Lunch Meet - 21st Sept - Robin Hood Inn

Hi All

September’s meet will be a lunch meet at The Robin Hood Inn, Bluebell Hill, Kent on Saturday 21st Sept...

Suggest we all meet at 12:30pm and go in for food at 1pm

The pub are happy to book the restaurant area for us all as per previous meets depending on the attendance.

The location of the venue is:
364 Common Road, Blue Bell Hill, Chatham, Kent ME5 9RJ

Google Maps Location:
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/...28!4d0.4882693

The Robin Hood is a charming 700 year old Grade II listed Inn reported to be one of the oldest in England and visited by pilgrims on their journey along The Pilgrims Way. Nestling in woodland in an area of 'oustanding natural beauty' in the heart of Kent.

Menu's can be found here:
http://www.robinhood-pub.co.uk/wp-co...-Menu-2019.pdf

I need to get an idea of numbers as the venue order fresh produce in daily, and also if people could put up what they want to eat so I can let them know in advance that would be a great help!

This was a well attended meet back in March, and everyone commented on how good the food was so the more the merrier!

Hope to see you all there!

Usually a well attended meet this one - uptake is a little disappointing.

Has it been posted on the Facebook page?

My deepest sympathies Terry to you and your family.

Frenchie 12-09-2019 09:16 AM

Thanks Ian. My sister can home an found him dead on the floor,so pretty grim for her. Post mortem on Friday.

Rdlangy1 12-09-2019 10:31 AM

Not detracting from Terry’s heartbreaking news in any way - I truely feel for you mate. That’s so sad for all involved - especially the circumstances.

Are there any more takers for the lunch meet? Numbers are pretty low and it I need to confirm to venue this weekend with menu choices by middle of next week.

Rdlangy1 15-09-2019 09:56 AM

Final numbers going to venue later today...

Can I have menu choices by tues eve as well please.

Ryan

Rdlangy1 16-09-2019 07:44 AM

Ryan

Leight 16-09-2019 06:44 PM

Lisa can not make this one due to work so just me. Numbers are a bit low for this, that's a shame really as normally a good turn out.
( where is everyone, there are 100s of members yet only the same few turn up to the meets)

1. Ryan & Laura

2. Leighton (cheese & ham toasted roll)

3. Granby

4. Steve & Liz

5. Rob & Cassie

Rdlangy1 16-09-2019 07:43 PM

I know mate - attendance is p*ss poor and ur right about the same old faces...

But if people deem it to far then I can’t force them - frustrating though as we make the effort for events 2-3+ hours away.

Nevermind

Yeah should be a good day out racing with friends. Have you been there before karting? It's meant to be really good there.

Got a temporary 5 speed in the other weekend and went on like a dream this time, started at 11 and Al done by 3 o'clock. Unsure what to do next on my list as it's to long lol.

No havnt done it there iv seen other people saying it good, so it's on my toes list at some point.

Ha that list will keep growing if you dont do it, if the box is ok then I'll just run it it might last so dont need to spend more getting old one fixed unless it goes bang.

Had planned to be in the UK and attend this ,but now coming over 2 weeks later due to a funeral. Just to let everyone who is attending that it's Ryan's birthday on the 23rd. I had planned to bring champagne. Ryan is a top guy, always available to detail your car for free and help organise club events, so I'am sure he would appreciate cards and presents at the lunch

Great seeing everyone yesterday and having a catch up.
