So yesterday my impreza decided it needed better engine ventilation and punched a hole in the top, so i'm going to be doing the ej207 swap, is there anything i need to look out for doing the swap or is it pretty straight forward, i know i need to tgv delete, but what else is there?

im not too bothered tbh, me and the mrs agreed ages ago that i would run that engine till it dies then upgrade, most annoying thing about the whole situation was waiting for recovery, and i somehow have to take the car off the drive and turn it around so it's facing up the drive.

i have found an engine and hopeing to pick that up at the weekend or next week

If your doing this with avcs engine into a wrx you will need an ecu swap also to run the heads, (a couple of pins can be swapped with the tgv to run the avcs, but new ecu generally means new ignition also if sticking with Subaru. (otherwise Syvecs/Alcatec etc will have you covered)

yeh found a ej207 for a decent price, gonna put that in with some other stuff to keep it safe and watch the oil temps/pressure etc etc

Finally got around to removing my inlet to prep for my ej207 and check the damage on the ej205.
