Advice quick release steering wheel

Hi all,

Looking at getting a quick release for a Sparco steering wheel on a classic, anybody got one? had one? used one? I would like to know if you have had success with it? and if your fingers could still reach the stalks? what make did you have? I am thinking boss plus quick release bolt on, will place steering wheel a fair bit closer to driver and further from stalks, as it's a fair bit of money to spend as will be buying steering wheel at the same time, so I don't wont to waste money, if I can't reach the stalks. I am looking at the lifeline one, but am open to suggestions.
Thanks in advance.

PJ

Check your insurance if you fit a quick release boss and if you ever go to the ring you won't get on . My personal thoughts are a waste if f money

Not going to the ring, and will inform Insurance, now that's out the way, any advice on the question mate?

Cheers PJ

Might be worth messaging a guy called Colin on here, user name is BURNOUT54, I believe he has a quick release wheel on his classic.

Thanks nl03scooby,

But I do not have permission to view that page.
I got to that place earlier, I'm pretty sure I'm going with a NRG quick release boss and a slim line NRG boss and Flat/no dish wheel, as this seems to be the best option, may stretch the fingers a bit, but looks the best option.

Thanks for your help.

Does anyone know if the short NRG boss, or short works bell boss, have the self cancelling function for the indicators?

Indicators no longer worked i.e would not switch off , getting it off an on again was a pain, MOT failure.

You need 10 posts before you have access to the private messaging system. Stops new people signing up and immediately spamming our members with messages. :)
