Blitz nur spec??

Hi all

Being an anti social neighbour I like a loud exhaust. Been offered a Blitz nur spec.
Read lots of reviews about being too noisy etc etc . But I don't really drive mine. My biggest concern will be the trip to the ring. How noisy is this going to be on the motorway. Droning rather than overall noise? Any first hand experiences? Don't want to arrive with a headache lol

I wouldnt bother buying it i had one fitted to my first classic drove from canterbury to scotland when moving due to jobs feck me i was nearly deft by the time i got there so my answer is give it a wide berth and get something like a HKS high power silent i had that fitted nice sound .

Have a look on you tube, that will give you an idea of noise too.I fancy a Milltek exhaust, but same as you I want to know how loud it is.

Scooby Si went to Germany and back with his on a Classic, he was travelling alone though so didn't have to worry about conversation.

Ear defenders will be required

Its a long way to go and not be allowed on..

Rdlangy1 26-01-2017 07:31 AM

Is there a noise limit for the ring? I didnt think they really checked that there.
I know for uk track days it wouldnt pass noise regs

++ Milltek - subtle and loud enough to make a difference, no worries for noise tests if ever you go on track

Yes there are regs..
If have a noisy exhaust very rarely they check it, but if you stand out being noisy they will ban you.
Ask Nige..
I've never been stopped with my Vortex Afterburner..
You just have to be sensible at the barriers..:ok:

Hongkongfooi 26-01-2017 09:09 PM

you will only like it for a short time....

My car still has a cat in the downpipe, so my Nur Spec is loud, but not silly loud. I don't find it drones too much on the motorway either (and I previously had a Cobra Sport exhaust fitted and that used to buzz really badly on the motorway).

Despite still being silly loud, I'm unsure if mine would pass a DB test for going on track. As has been above it would be gutting to get there and then get turned around!

Rdlangy1 27-01-2017 10:38 AM

I have the Cobra 3" system with sports cat and agree - it does buzz on the motorway - however I do like the grumble it gives. Didn't get flagged at the Ring but that's prob coz I didn't drive quick enough! ha ha

Well being the impulsive type I brought it, Got it for a decent price so will fit it in the morning.
if its to loud I will take it off and re sell it.

I hope after the effort of fitting you are happy with it and it can stay put, after a couple of weeks trialling you might get the answers you need!

Rdlangy1 27-01-2017 12:55 PM

tut tut tut - impulse buying indeed :paranoid::paranoid:

Like Rob says, I hope your happy with it, and it all works out... :ok:

Scooby Si 28-01-2017 12:41 AM

Loved mine, great sounding exhaust... Did the trip to the ring no problem and plenty of other motorway miles too. (I did have a bung as well which made a big difference but I didn't use it much!)

No issues getting on the the ring either but was never even close for any uk tracks.

Frenchie 28-01-2017 08:08 AM
