But erm... yeah. But no. :p

We didn't shift all of those we ordered last year and with things being a little quieter this year we decided it wasn't worth the cost/time to sort them out for the 15-odd calendars we'd probably end up sending out...

I thought you'd been on a road trip... Callander is a little town in Scotland isn't it?

The colander pic made me chuckle. :)

A couple of clubs/forums didn't get enough interest last year, so pulled it this year. It's a pity, but seems to be the trend. :(

Site does seem a bit quiet lately, but hopefully pick up next year. How is the "active" membership?

Neil97rs 27-12-2016 01:46 PM

All the car forums seem to have a very low activity nowadays.

Just seems to be a trend. No idea why

Is

Is their more activity on Facebook

I think that's part of it.

What I have observed, for what it's worth, is many new owners/members not being interested in searching the forum, rather just asking their questions, popping up photos, etc.

That lends itself to Facebook and with a group for all sorts of makes/models, location, etc. it just seems to be the way people prefer to approach things.

It's a shame if you ask me as I love threads that run for years and get revisited. Facebook pages don't really allow for that.

Not on Facebook.

Spot on. And you get the same old questions asked constantly rather than people being able to search for technical information like we can on a forum. Yes, facebook has its place.... it's just a shame a lot of people prefer that format over the traditional bulletin board.
