Prob take me that long to save lol .

tbtstt 13-12-2016 06:14 PM

If I continue saving at the current rate, prices stabilize and medical science can extend average life expectancy by 200%, this will be my Christmas present in 2220:

Did you see the new Ford Promotional video for the Focus RS, the Focus leaves the RS200 for dead, would still rather have the RS200 obviously.

Yeah, saw that! Given that the "street" RS200 was only running 250 BHP the result didn't surprise me. I think an RS200S might be closer and an RS200 Evo would take a big dump on the Focus RS!

£ for £ the Focus is by far better value plus its way more practical: I know which one I'd rather have in the garage though...

I don't like the big zunsport grill (and don't like the stickers either :P)

Did you take it for a drive? nice and low millage. has it been mapped? as can see the sillybov ::) (no offense to sillybov owners!) :P

Banstead Stig 14-12-2016 08:14 PM

I would be nervous based on the stickers and bov what that says about the way the car's been treated.

Probably makes me a snob! Sorry...

scotty 14-12-2016 09:35 PM

Ha! I'll have to join you in the "snob" category, as some of those modifications would make me question the treatment from the previous owner as well.

If I was the dealership selling the car the first thing I would do is pull all those stickers off it!

And what happens if it pulls the the paint off or is hiding something up ?
They'll then have to put it right

Oh yeah, although I think it would massively improve the look of the car, from a business standpoint I know why they have left it: why take money out of your profit margin (and potentially open a can of worms) when you can leave it to the customer.

If it's hiding something, chances are they'll end up putting it right anyway.

Any fault found in the first six months would be considered the dealer's responsibility unless they could prove it wasn't present at the point of sale.

Anything that means the car is not of a satisfactory quality allows you to seek to have it put right.

The Sale of Goods Act doesn't only cover the mechanical parts on a car.

Where did I say that?

If the paint is in poor condition, but that's entirely visible, then you have no come back. That's reflected in the price, together with the state of the goods you're buying.

If, as was being discussed above, a problem was hidden and couldn't have expected to have been found on a reasonable inspection, then you would have the potential to have that rectified.

:agreed: I do like a wagon. I'm not sure on the side skirts and rear spats though. The front wing inserts look good imo but shame the wheel arch extensions don't line up with the front bumper.

Do you have spec details Scotty?
