Black Friday. Good opportunity or crock of ****?
 

I can't decide.

Seems a massively overcooked scheme to me and I frankly can't be arsed with trawling through bucket loads of crap to find the one bargain worth having.

However, when decent businesses give blanket discounts, then I'm more inclined to pay attention.

I'm in the same camp, can't decide if its a good thing or just overly commercial yank marketing buzz.

I've never gone to any big stores on sale day, the pictures of queues and brawls is enough to put me off. But if there's a good deal to be had online, I guess it can't be a bad thing. :)

Do you think enginetuner are having a Black Friday sale on built 2.1 strokers? :D

yet another "americanism" that i'm not sure isn't just the same as the never ending SCS sales or whatever.............

we do it differently in simply offering year round advantageous pricing and good service............

I am taking advantage of it, as an item (that I cannot disclose publicly due to other family members being on the forum) has been marked down £70 on a price that was already £60 less than the Argos price.
Other retailers are asking £140 more which is an 88% mark-up.

Possibly going to buy some wheels later

I thought it was about time to update my old 720 TV, I just got a 49inch 4k smart TV for less than the price of the one its replacing!

Just been told 10 to 12 weeks for delivery!

Oh wow... I presume they had quite a few orders, that's a long time though, think I had 4-6 weeks to wait.
