Problems Already?

On motorways, dual carriage ways, basically smooth roads its absolutely fine. As soon as you get into a town or country lane with any bumps then there's a lot of banging from underneath, I put this down to perhaps worn bushes which I can get replaced.

I got under today (didn't jack it up) and grabbed hold of a few things to see if there was any play, nothing, other than the front driveshafts. Both of them have a lot of play and can move them about with my hand and generate a banging noise.

I'm assuming there shouldn't be any play in them? What could cause this and what sort of price am I looking at to fix them?

The car has 12 months warranty so hopefully I can use that

I'll give you a name of a guy in Hastings who will be able to give it a thorough going over and tell you if out is wrong.

It is going to FB Tuning on Wednesday to have a service so I'll get him to have a look at it then. Just sitting here worrying so wondered if anyone could shed any light lol.

I'd have thought drive shafts would clunk as you pulled away rather than uneven surfaces. Sounds suspension related. Rear shocks have been known to clock as they get old, otherwise it's probably just bushes. Would be cheaper to do them yourself than drive all the way back to the dealer.

Okay thanks. I might jack it up today and take the front wheels off and have a good look at the bushes.
